In God On Fumes

Most days, I feel like the exhaust pipe fuming out the last of my energy seeing it evaporate in thin air.

Most days, I don't know whether I am coming or going. I know I am just moving.

Most days, I can't see an end in sight, but I know if I make it a few more hours, I will have that moment to myself .

With cultivating my relationship with the Lord, building on my womanhood, being a solo mom of an active first grader, handling ministry assignments, walking into purpose and my passion, managing a business....my life's portion just feel like it never stops moving.

To pause is to be in my car some Saturday's as I await in the parking lot of my next event. That's the only time I feel like I get a break.

An active life is not a bad thing, but as God hands out the portion, it is only God who can sustain us daily. Without the Lord, our own strength is not enough. It is simply not enough. We must be in God on fumes.

2 Corinthians 12:9
But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.”

The Lord declares, in our weakness He is made strong. God works best in our weakness, in our little strength, in our "not enough" - He makes it enough. With every assignment He has graced us for. With every portion, He provides is strength to get through. God is the I AM. That means that God is our very present help when we need Him - even on fumes.

Does God give us more than what we can handle? In terms of capacity, I believe God expands us to handle more for His Kindgom.

The job - your assignment

The kid - your assignment

The ministry - your assignment

The business - your assignment

Give your fumes to God - and watch Him strengthen you for what He has portioned on your plate - then Thank Him for all He's doing and working on in your life.
